National Museum of Cambodia
The National Museum is located north of the Royal Palace. The museum is a modern establishment designed to adapt to the ancient Khmer architecture built in 1917 and was commissioned by King Sisowath in 1920. The National Museum is home to many artifacts and is valuable in relation to the religious architecture and Khmer art. Most of these artifacts are in Angkor, and there are still some of the remains of prehistoric times, such as during the Funan period and the post-Angkor period. The National Museum attracts many national and international guests after the Royal Palace.
